Sheet metal and coil slitting is a process through which a wide coil of sheet metal is cut into narrower bands by circular blades, often called knives. The knives’ positions can be adjusted to cut the metal into different width strips for a desired size. The general process takes the coil, unrolls it, slits the metal, then rolls it back up again, giving you several narrow width slit coils for your project
Beveling
For Cold Cutting, Beveling of Weld preps and tapering of the inside diameter of piping and or component we use clamshells ranging from " ¾”- 60” " diameter. The clamshell is series of a machine with high versatility for the various application. With these machines, you have no heat or spark formation, meaning you have no ignition source and therefore no explosion risk. With little effort, a pipe can be cut straight and tapered or welding bevel in any desired form can be achieved. This range of machines has a variety of tools suitable for complex pieces’ such as lack of space.
